The Antares is flat just like the Arione, but is a little wider like the Aliante--offering more support for the sit bones. The Arione lineup receives a lighter and lower-profile model. This saddle was tested by Giro d'Italia winner Danilo DiLuca. He asked us for a lighter saddle and Fizik developed the Arione CX Braided Carbon. It utilizes a new foam that turned out to be 70 grams lighter than the standard Arione with titanium rails, and a quoted weight of 169 grams (+- 5 grams). This new foam has a lower profile look but doesn't reduce any comfort. ICS (Integrated Clip System) Compatible. What a great saddle offered at great price!
